South Africas very own Samaai Ruswahl grabs 3rd position in the Finals long jump in Zurich

Samaai Ruswahl, the African champion, finished third in the Men's long jump final at the World Athletics Diamond League meeting in Zurich on Wednesday night.




The South African's best leap was 7,99m, while Sweden's Thobias Montler who took first place with a leap of 8,17m.

“We congratulate Ruswahl for his podium finish. He managed to shake off the disappointments of the Tokyo Olympics and rose to take on his new challenge at the Diamond League. Congratulations to him, his coach and his support staff for the hard work."


While our world ranking number 4 in Men's 100m, Akani Simbine, unfortunately did not get a podium spot this time around and came in 5th in the Men's 100m final in Zurich on Thursday night.
